EMI Instructor (PM/Leadership)
Mission:
The mission of the EMI Instructor (PM/Leadership) is to act as a subject matter expert focused on helping AEC organizations develop more effective people leaders and project managers. The PM/Leadership Instructor will do this by delivering custom learning and development programs, and consulting on the design of these programs as needed. This position is offered as a full-time or part-time position.
Outcomes:
1. Service clients by serving as a subject matter expert through program design including:
a. Interview program participants, leadership team members, project leaders and project managers prior to the program design.
b. Review and provide input on the program curriculum during development.
c. Lead or participate in design meetings with the client.
2. Serve as one of the instructors for EMI’s custom leadership and project management development programs including:
a. Lead 2 to 4 virtual sessions per week focused on participant engagement.
b. Help to guide and grow other EMI instructors through training and mentoring
c. Strive to engage participants so that EMI may achieve its goal of 100% assignment completion.
Qualifications
- A bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university in engineering, architecture, land surveying or related field, OR significant speaking experience regardless of educational background.
- Minimum of seven (7) years of relevant experience in your technical field as a project manager.
- Engineering or equivalent license highly recommended, but not required.
- Speaking/instruction skills: previous experience speaking in public or presenting is a MUST.
